Back to Whitecliffs Boulders

10 October - I was the organiser this week for the Thursday trampers.  I took them to see the Whitecliffs Boulders (three visits in less than three months!) We were lucky to have a beautiful day and the kowhai trees were now in flower too.  After visting the boulders we carried on to Mangaweka for lunch, then walked around the Mangaweka reserve and explored an old disused railway tunnel nearby.  There were 16 in our group.

We drove on to Mangaweka, looking for somewhere to sit and have lunch.  The only place we could find was the school.  Although it was school holidays two teachers were there, and they were a bit surprised to come across us all!  They were very welcoming.
